Japanese soprano Hiroko Morita was born in Kyoto, Japan. She graduated cum laude in Voice at the State University of Fine Arts and Music of Tokyo under the guidance of Mrs. Alda Noni and Mrs. Marcella Reale. She received a Master degree from the same University under the guidance of celabrated soprano Yasuko Hayashi.
She obtained scholarships from the Nomura Scholarship Foundation, the Japanese Government and the Italian government , She went on to continue her studies in Italy with Mrs. Milena Dal Piva, Mr. Dante Mazzola, Mr. Aldo Verrecchia and She participated in a Masterclass with Mirella Freni.
She participated in many National and International Competitions, winning many prizes, Special Prize at the "National Mainici Competition" , Second Prize at the "Operatic Battle Competition", Special Prize at the "Italian and Japanese Competition" in Tokyo, Winner at “ I° International Singing Competition Villa incanto”, Finalist at "XVI° International Singing Competition Gaetano Fraschini".
She started her early operatic career with some important engagements at New National Theatre of Tokyo with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra as Oscar (cover) in Un Ballo in Maschera opposite Maria Guleghina and Alberto Cupido, (M° Paolo Olmi, Director Alberto Fassini) ; as Zerlina (cover) in Don Giovanni opposite Natale De Carolis and Ildebrando D'alcangelo (M° Asher Fisch, Director Roberto De Simone); she appeared as Amore in Gluk's Orefeo ed Euridice ; as Flora in Britten's The Turn of the Screw ; as Gretel in Hansel und Gretel ; as Silvia in L'isola disabitata.

 

Later she moved to Italy where she has made her debut with great success the role Violetta in La Traviata. In 2008 the expected debut of Madama Butterfly in the United States in New Orleans (M° Roberto Gianola, M° Dennis Assaff) and in Latin America at the Teatro de Bellas Artes in Bogotà (Colombia) (M° Hilary Griffiths, Director Sebastiano Salvato) and the Teatro Segura in Lima (Perù), (Director Luis Alva, M° Marco Titotto). In these productions received a personal triumphant by the famous Spanish mezzo- soprano Teresa Berganza and M° Luis Alva.

She has performed also the roles : Adina in L'Elisir d'Amore, Cio-cio-san at The International Festival of Pescara (M° Vito Lo Re, Director Paolo Treviso) and in Sardegna (Italy) (Director Enrico Stinchelli, M° Alessandro Fabrizi), receiving excellent critics.

She was also invited to Lima to the gala concert with the world famous Mezzo-Soprano Teresa Berganza and Tenor Luis Alva, to Macerata (Teatro Lauro Rossi) to the gala concert for the award of Pier Luigi Pizzi.

In 2010/11/12 She made a tour in spain in the role of Cio-Cio-san conducted by (M° Martin Màzik,Director Roberta Mattelli) at the important Theatres such as Teatro Principal Malaga, Teatro Principal de Alicante, Teatro Principal di Zaragoza, Gran Teatro di Falla, Teatro Rojas di Toledo etc, as Cio- Cio-san in Courmayeur (Italy) and at The Crespina Opera Festival in Pisa in Italy (Massimo Pezzutti, M° Guido Maria Guida), as Mimi in La Bohéme in NewOrleans (USA) (M° Dennis Assaf, Director Sebastiano Salvato).

In 2012/2013/2014 She continued her outstanding performances of Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Municipal Jorge Eliécer Gaitan in Bogotà (M° Felipe Aguirre, Director Alejandro Chacon) and asPamina in Die Zauberflöte and as Mimi in La

Bohéme in Spain and France, as Nedda in Pagliacci , as Violetta in La Traviata in Verona and Reacanati (Italy) with “Villaincanto”, as Micaela in Carmen in Spain and France (Theatre LE FORUM DE FREJUS etc), as Cio-Cio-san at the Teatro Coliseu do Porto in Portugal (M° Jose Maria Moreno, Director Ignacio Garcia) and in Bari (Italy), in Palazzo dei congressi in Lugano (Switzerland), at the Teatro Rossini di Pesaro (Italy) and at the Teatro de Victoria Eugenia (M° Aldo Salvagno, Director Giovanni Dispenza),as Aida in London, Leonora in Il Trovatore.

In 2014/2015/2016 She performed as Alice in Falstaff (M°Stefano Giaroli, Maura Ippoliti), as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, as Cio-cio.san in Spain and France with Opera2001 (Teatro Olimpia di Valencia, Theatre Merignac, Le Pin Garant (France)

etc), in Estonia Opera Festival, concerts at the Smetana hall in Praha, in Istanbul In 2017/2018 She performed as Violetta in La Traviata at the Teatro Comunale di Bolzano, as Cio-Cio-san at the Teatro Comunale Carpi (Italy) in Switzerland, in Amsterdam, Nedda (Pagliacci), Leonora (IL Trovatore) in France and Spain.

She recentery performed as Cio-Cio-san at the Teatro degli Arcimbordi di Milano, the Teatro Massy (France), National Theater Odessa (Ucraina), Teatro Alfieri di Asti (Italy), Stadsschouwburg Antwerp (Belgium), Parkstad Limburg Theaters (Holland), as Aida, Liù (Turandot), Nedda (Pagliacci), Pamina (Spain, Portugal) with

great success.
